The Easiest Way To Sell Like Crazy! (Part-2)


In the last article, we fixed the fundamentals and made it easy to lure your ideal prospect to read whatever we wrote.



Alright, once that is done. It’s time we make it easy for them to finish it. Once we’ve lured them in it’s our job to keep them reading whatever we wrote.


So how do we do that? 


There are 2 easy tricks that most people neglect that will improve your writing significantly:


  • The Bar Test

  • Vocalise It


The Bar Test



The BAR Test has worked for centuries and will continue to do so as long as humans walk the Earth. You’ll be able to use this to improve your copy drastically.


Alright, WTF is a BAR Test?


Here’s what I mean:


You look at a piece of text (or ‘copy’ in business terms) and ask yourself: 


‘Would I say this to an actual human being in a conversation?’


It’s that simple. 


Let’s take an example:


As a business owner, your job is to solve problems. This is the basic principle of running your own business, most business owners already know this, but what happens when no one knows you even exist?


In a real conversation, that would sound something like:


Most business owners know that business is about solving other people's problems for a living. But that's hard to do if people don’t even know your business exists, right?


Doesn’t that make more sense? Isn’t it much easier to read?


It sounds like an actual human.


Vocalise It



It might sound almost childish…. but if you give this a try I promise you won’t regret it.


It is to read your copy out loud.


Pretend you’re talking to a friend, observe how the sentences flow. Where do you stumble? Where does it sound weird? Would you say this to a human? 


Conversation has to flow.


Some sentences are long, others are short. Like this one. 


Make it a habit. It’s going to change your writing for the better.
